The Next-Generation Steering Wheel Switch Prototype Development

The Heritage Series Grandeur : A modern take on the 1986 flagship sedan

Heritage meets cutting-edge technology

To commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Hyundai Grandeur, Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the 'Grandeur Heritage Series Concept,' a modern reinterpretation of the iconic sedan first introduced in 1986.

We played a pivotal role in the rebirth of this legendary model, contributing to the development of the steering wheel, cluster, AVNT, and sub-display. From hardware and software development to UX concept and design, we crafted a futuristic prototype that aligns with the demands of the 21st century.

This project not only revives the grandeur of the past but also presents a forward-looking vision, blending cutting-edge technology with modern design for the future.

From the outside, the Heritage Series Grandeur retains a lot of its old charm. however, it’s a different story. The interior boasts a beautiful combination of past and present. Although entirely remodeled, the interior maintains the Grandeur's ‘80s vibe and features some of the sedan’s original features which were completely new at the time, like the single-spoke steering wheel and jet airplane-style gear selector.
